Clean Hit

A body check or body contact made by a player on an opponent that is executed within the rules of the game and does not result in a penalty or any other disciplinary action. A clean hit is a legal and fair physical play intended to separate an opponent from the puck or disrupt their progress without violating the rules or causing harm beyond what is expected in a physical contact sport.
