Rebound Control

Rebound Control

A goaltender’s ability to manage and direct the rebounds that occur after they make a save. When a goaltender stops a shot, the puck often rebounds off their pads or equipment. Effective rebound control involves minimizing the chances of the puck landing in a dangerous scoring position for the opposing team and ideally directing it to a location where it can be safely cleared by the goalie’s teammates.
